Another Way to Give on Race Weekend: Sony Ericsson Hosts Cell Phone Recycling Drive
Recycling your old cell phones and cell phone batteries helps preserve the environment. But now it can also help in the fight against cancer, thanks to a new recycling program launched by City of Oaks Marathon title sponsor Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications.
As part of the Sony Take Back Recycling Program, Sony Ericsson will host a recycling drive on race weekend designed to further support the race's beneficiaries. The company will donate all proceeds generated from the recycling of collected cell phones and cell phone batteries to the American Cancer Society and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
To participate, drop off used cell phones and cell phone batteries at Sony Ericsson's booth at the BaySix USA Expo during expo hours:
Friday, November 2 - 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, November 3 - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
